Human resource management Essay A Human Resources Management System (HRMS) or Human Resources Information System (HRIS) refers to the systems and processes at the intersection between human resource management (HRM) and information technology. It merges HRM as a discipline and in particular its basic HR activities and processes with the information technology field, whereas the programming of data processing systems evolved into standardized routines and packages of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. On the whole, these ERP systems have their origin on software that integrates information from different applications into one universal database. The linkage of its financial and human resource modules through one database is the most important distinction to the individually and proprietary developed predecessors, which makes this software application both rigid and flexible. To reduce the manual workload of these administrative activities, organizations began to electronically automate many of these processes by introducing specialized human resource management systems. HR executives rely on internal or external IT professionals to develop and maintain an integrated HRMS. Before the client–server architecture evolved in the late 1980s, many HR automation processes were relegated to mainframe computers that could handle large amounts of data transactions. In consequence of the high capital investment necessary to buy or program proprietary software, these internally developed HRMS were limited to organizations that possessed a large amount of capital. The advent of client–server, application service provider, and software as a service (SaaS) or human resource management systems enabled increasingly higher administrative control of such systems. Fourth is, Locate and Manage Talent Globally, to manage recruitment, hiring, and deployment on a global basis and address local country requirements at the same time. Manage address information, currency, data formats, banking details, and payment methods for any country. Conduct competency profiling and management. Lastly, Integrate Intelligence with HR Management,to integrate intelligence with HR management to align the workforce with corporate objectives. Just like the Human Resource (HR) departments, many companies have evolved to a new computerized system, and also there are companies that still working on a manual based system. The function of Human Resource (HR) departments is generally administrative and common to all organizations. Organizations may have formalized selection, evaluation, and payroll processes. Efficient and effective management of human capital progressed to an increasingly imperative and complex process. The HR function consists of tracking existing employee data which traditionally includes personal histories, skills, capabilities, accomplishments and salary. Also the Human Resource (HR) department is in-charge of identifying the potential applicants (Applicant Hiring). Being a Human Resource (HR) department, it is humiliating that they do not have a permanent system or database that can store their employee or applicant’s information day by day. Sometimes, many companies encounter different problems related with the employee or applicant’s information. Using Ms Excel or Manual Filing is not advisable for storing or tracking employee or applicant’s data, using those kind of tracking or storing may cause of loss of file, unreliable data, time consuming, heavy manual workload, heavy human work force, and etc. on payroll, time and attendance, performance appraisal, benefits administration, HR information management system, recruiting/learning management, performance record, employee self-service, scheduling, absence management and analytics. The Human Resource (HR) department encourages the proponents to develop a system that will help or solve the existing problems regarding Human Resource (HR) department and also to decrease the human workforce.

Analysis of Stephen Crane's, Maggie: A Girl of the Streets Today in modern America, it has become almost impossible to avoid the tales of horror that surround us almost anywhere we go. Scandals, murders, theft, corruption, extortion, abuse, prostitution, all common occurrences in this day in age. A hundred years ago however, people did not see the world in quite such an open manner despite the fact that in many ways, similarities were abundant. People’s lives were, in their views, free of all evil and pollution. They assumed they lived peaceful lives and those around them lived the same flawless lives untouched by corruption as well. Many were too blind to see beyond their own homes and into the lives of others who dealt with a more unfortunate fate. Those being the ones who lived in poverty, abuse, and other harsh conditions which were finally exposed to America in 1893 by a 22-year old college free lance writer who simply wished to show things as they appeared to him: bitterly real. Stephen Crane was America’s first re alistic writer who exposed the realities of the slums, tenement living and other unfavorable conditions to a very naà ¯ve American audience. Through hard work and his great devotion to the examination of the darker side of life Crane finally was able to publish his novel in which explored his experiences of the New York slums. Through his great use of dialect, irony and realism in his novel Maggie: A Girl of the Streets Stephen Crane is able to accomplish his goal of creating a vivid picture in his reader’s mind, portraying the harsh, abusive conditions of the many lives condemned to this fortune. Stephen Crane began his quest for the truth in the summer of 1889 while visiting his brother who lived in New Jersey (Peden, 104). While living with his brother Crane was drawn to the idea of realistic writing. He would travel to New York on almost a daily basis to witness and experience the poverty and abusive conditions of the slums (Colvert, 104). During his visits to New York Crane was able to establish an understanding and develop a feeling for what life was like in the slums. He soon acquired a craving for individuality and a yearning to express his experiences. APWH Rome and China Notes

There were 3 wars, and the Romans won every time. This war turned Rome from a small city state to an empire. When they won this war, they got land, slaves, and wealth. This caused the Patricians to benefit greatly, but the plebeians did not. This caused a larger gap between the rich and poor. D The roman army started recruiting people and pay them for their service. This is when the Roman army shifts from a citizenship army to a Professional army. This change = very Important. The USA is now a professional army too and we also have a wealth gap. We are the modern day Rome. Republic In Crawls (146-31 BCC) a Patricians wanted to malting their privileges so they wanted to support political parties that would benefit the rich. B Plebeians wanted to support ones that would help the poor. This caused an outbreak and a loss of respect for the law (murder, and overall breaking laws) When people begin to not care about the law the republic started to fall. D Julius Caesar came from a Patricia n family, but made everyone love him. He tried to help the Plebeians too. He then got himself elected Consul for life. But, they assassinated Caesar because they thought he had too much power.They thought that they were saving the Republic, but his friends and family (Octavia {nephew} and Marc Antonym {friend)) They hunted down and killed everyone who was involved in killing Julius. But, Marc and Octavia hated each other, but they worked or with each other in memory of Julius. So, they broke out in a Civil war over who would have control of Rome. Octavia won, even though Marc Antonym had the help of Cleopatra behind him. After he won, Antonym and Cleopatra committed suicide. So, Peace= long period of Roman Prosperity) (31 BCC-ACE)- Octavia made governors that ruled each city state and he appointed them.They eventually dominated. F The Romans built things- Arches and Concrete were what they used. Concrete was good because you could mix it on site and it was easy to make. The arch was good because the more weight at the top the more weight got funneled through the columns award the ground which made it harder to destroy. They made aqueducts which transferred water from mountain stream to city. They had to keep it moving to keep it clean, so on flat areas they had to elevate it and have it gradually go down so it would keep moving. G They also had bath houses that they built.They were like spas with gyms, and they were segregated for women and men. Paid for by the state. H Coliseum- entertainment provided by state, the state provided so much so no one could or would complain and try to over throw them. 60,000 people could sit in the Coliseum and it has a retractable awning/roof. You could flood they floor and have mock naval battles. They used the violent acts to educate the people in the Punic Wars and promote Rome and its victories. I They also built basilicas that were like court houses that were also used for church structure on Sunday when there was no court .J Made use of the dome with a hole in the rooftop give light. The Disney Company started on 1923, known as the Disney Brothers Cartoon Studio. It changed its name a couple years after to the Walt Disney Studio. It wasn t until December 1937 when the first animated features film of Disney hit the big screen pictures with the many movies like Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. The Walt Disney Company had instant success with the film industry, becoming the highest grossing film of all time until Gone with the Wind two years later. Obviously, this led to more animated feature films being made by Disney, which has continued right up to present day. They are known for making big, colorful films aimed at children but also encompassing the family audience. They have adapted fairytales, told original stories, and adapted myth and legends throughout the years. In 1997 directors Ron Clements and John Musker created an adaptation of the well-known Greek myth of Hercules. In the Disney film Hercules is turned into a half god, half mortal by Hades by a poiso n. Raised as a human, Hercules is confused as he is told if he lives like a hero on Earth he will reclaim his place as a god. He learns from his friend Pegasus and his personal trainer the Satyr, that eventually with their helped he becomes a famous hero. Along the way Hercules meets Meg and falls in love.
